GCCs are client-owned-and-operated service delivery centres – typically in a non domestic, low-cost location, to handle operations (back-office functions, corporate business-support functions, and contact centres) and IT support (app development and maintenance, remote IT infrastructure, and help desks), or as a centre of excellence for innovation.
Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are evolving from being a source of cost arbitrage to becoming Global Value Organizations – India, once known as the home of low-cost delivery centers, is now fast emerging as the land of ‘innovation and capability centres’ and COEs for advanced digital capabilities.
